Terms of Service
Effective from 12. 10. 2026
I. Introductory provisions
These terms of service (the "Terms") govern the mutual rights and obligations between David Karel, Company ID (IČO) 44727062, registered office at Československé armády 229, 250 70 Odolena Voda, Czech Republic, entered in the Trade Licence Register, not a VAT payer, contact info@coinalbum.eu (the "Operator"), and the individual who registers for and uses the Euro mincovna web application at coinalbum.eu (the "Application") (the "User").
The Application is used to track a personal euro coin collection, recognize coins using artificial intelligence, and optionally connect collectors with each other in the "Marketplace" section.
Only a person over 18 years of age may be a User, or a person under 18 with the consent of their legal guardian.
II. Registration and user account
Using the Application's core features (collection tracking, statistics) is free after registering with an email and password. The User must provide truthful information and protect their login credentials — they alone are responsible for all activity under their account. On registration, the User receives 15 free credits for AI coin recognition.
The Operator may suspend or restrict the account of a User who violates these Terms, misuses the Application or the Marketplace, or engages in conduct harmful to other Users.
III. Paid features, prices, and payment terms
- 100-credit pack — €3.99 (one-time payment). A credit is used for each AI coin recognition, whether from a photo taken in the app or uploaded. Manual entry without AI is always free.
- One year of Marketplace access — €3.99/year, including 50 extra credits. Access does not renew automatically — an email reminder is sent before it expires, and the User renews it themselves with a new payment.
The prices shown are final — the Operator is not a VAT payer.
Payments are processed by the Stripe payment gateway (Stripe Payments Europe, Limited). The Operator has no access to the User's card number or other sensitive payment details.
Credits and Marketplace access are activated for the User automatically immediately after payment is confirmed.
IV. Right of withdrawal
Purchasing credits and activating/renewing the Marketplace constitute digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, made available immediately after payment. Under Section 1837(l) of the Czech Civil Code, the User has no right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days if, before completing payment, they gave express consent to immediate performance and confirmed that they thereby lose the right of withdrawal. Without such consent, the standard 14-day right of withdrawal applies — see the separate Right of Withdrawal Notice for details.
V. Marketplace — connecting collectors
The Marketplace lets Users with active access offer their duplicate coins to others and look for coins missing from their own collection.
The app is not a party to any sales contract concluded between Users, nor a payment intermediary. Agreeing on a price, payment (directly between Users via QR payment or cash on delivery), and shipping the coins all take place entirely outside the Application and at the Users' own risk. The Operator does not hold, process, or guarantee any payment.
The Operator does not verify Users' identity beyond their email address, nor the authenticity, condition, or value of coins offered. The "Verified" badge only means the app's administrator manually reviewed that User — it is not independent identity verification. The Operator bears no liability for Users' conduct toward one another, for non-delivery, damage, or inauthenticity of coins, or for non-payment of an agreed price.
Users are advised to trade cautiously, to prefer cash on delivery for larger amounts in particular, and to report suspicious or fraudulent conduct by another User to the Operator.
VI. Rights arising from defective performance
If a technical fault occurs on the app's side (e.g. a credit deducted without a recognition result, or a paid Marketplace access not activated), the User is entitled to a remedy after reporting it to info@coinalbum.eu. Complaints are handled without undue delay, within 30 days at the latest.
VII. Personal data protection
Processing of Users' personal data is governed by the separate Privacy Policy.
VIII. Out-of-court dispute resolution
The Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce), Štěpánská 567/15, 120 00 Prague 2, Company ID 000 20 869, adr.coi.cz, is competent for out-of-court resolution of consumer disputes.
IX. Final provisions
Matters not covered by these Terms are governed by the law of the Czech Republic, in particular Act No. 89/2012 Coll., the Civil Code, and Act No. 634/1992 Coll., on Consumer Protection. The Operator may amend these Terms — Users will be notified of a material change by email or upon logging into the Application.
This is a standard arrangement under Czech law. This English text is provided for convenience; the Czech original governs in case of any discrepancy. For specific disputed situations, we recommend consulting a lawyer.
